Jun. 2022 - Ifeoma Ugwuanyi is presenting her poster "Effects of Geology and Geochemistry on Microbial Diversity and Function in Solfatara-Pisciarelli Hydrothermal Systems, Italy" at in person session at ASM conference in Washington DC. This is her first in person conference since starting graduate school!!!

May. 2022 - A.Murphy gave a talk "The Effects of Biofilm in Burial Dolomitization and Potential Mineralogical Biosignatures: An Experimental Study Using Modern Bahamian Stromatolites" on her graduate research at AbSciCon in Georgia.
Mar. 2022 - A.Murphy presented a poster "Determining Pixl, Sherloc, & Supercam’s Ability To Identify Dolomite Phases & Potential Biosignatures In Cambrian Microbialites" on her graduate research at LPSC in Houston.
Mar. 2022 - Our undergraduate LSAMP researcher, Sebastian Plasencia, has presented her poster “Nitrogen Isotope Trends in Continental Hydrothermal Systems” at 2022 GS-LSAMP STEM Research Conference.
Aug. 2021 - Ashley Murphy is now Dr. Ashley Murphy and she is moving to PSI to work Mars2020 mission with Dr. Aileen Yingst!!! Congratulations Ashley!

Mar. 2021 - Our undergraduate LSAMP researcher, Tanisha Flats, has presented her poster “Formational Settings of Calcite, Aragonite, and Dolomite Minerals and the Resulting Minerals’ Characteristics: A Literature Review” at 2021 GS-LSAMP/NNJ-B2B Virtual STEM Research Conference.
